Luka Smolčić, a student of Vocational School Velika Gorica, won first place at the inter-county WorldSkills Croatia 2026 competition in CNC and CAD/CAM technologies. With this result he qualified for the national level of the competition.
Commenting on his success, Luka said:
"I am glad that I qualified for the national WorldSkills Croatia competition in CNC and CAD/CAM technologies, but this would not have been possible without my mentor, vocational instructor Nenad Grđan, and the engineers of the Regional Centre of Competence Velika Gorica, Matija Galeković and Stjepko Bašić. I thank them from the bottom of my heart."
Luka is now preparing for the national championship at the Zagreb Fair. We congratulate the student and his mentors on an excellent result.
