This policy explains which personal data the website of the Regional Centre of Competence – Industry 4.0 (RCK) collects, why, how long we keep them and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect and why
We only collect the data you enter in a form yourself, and only for the purpose of that form:
- Contact and technical support forms: name, e-mail, phone (if given) and your message, so that we can reply. Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in answering it.
- Booking of practical sessions: school, teacher's name, e-mail, phone and lesson details, to organise and confirm the booking. Legal basis: performance of a task in the public interest (the educational activity of the school and RCK). The public schedule shows only the school, time and area, without the teacher's name.
- Webinar registration: name, e-mail and (optionally) organisation, to send you a confirmation, a reminder with the link and notices about that webinar. Questions to the presenter can be sent anonymously. Legal basis: providing the service you requested.
- Newsletter: your e-mail address only. The subscription is valid only after you confirm it by clicking the link in the e-mail. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every message.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not profile visitors.
How long we keep data
- form messages: 12 months, then deleted automatically;
- bookings: the teacher's personal data (name, e-mail, phone, notes) are removed automatically 24 months after the session; only the school and dates are kept as a record of the centre's use;
- webinar registrations and questions: deleted automatically 12 months after the webinar;
- newsletter: until you unsubscribe; unsubscribing deletes your address immediately, and unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days.
Who else has access
Only RCK staff who handle enquiries, bookings and registrations can see the data. The website, database and e-mail sending are hosted by a provider in the European Union (cyber_Folks), which processes data only on our behalf. We do not pass data on to anyone else unless required by law.
Cookies and statistics
The website does not use Google Analytics or any other visitor tracking tools, nor advertising cookies. That is why we do not ask you to consent to cookies.
- Pages with a form set one strictly necessary cookie (
rck_sess) that protects the form against abuse. It is deleted when you close the browser. - When you close or fill in the newsletter pop-up, your browser remembers it (local storage, not sent to us) so that it is not shown again.
- Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google.
YouTube
Videos and webinar recordings are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): YouTube does not set cookies until you play a video. Once you play it, and for the chat shown next to live webinar streams (loaded from youtube.com), the Google Privacy Policy applies; Google may transfer data to the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability, and you can object to processing. You can withdraw your newsletter consent at any time. Send your request to rckvg@rck-vg.com; we will reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe your data have been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr.
Security
All traffic to the website is encrypted (HTTPS). Only authorised persons with their own password can access the administration, and forms are protected against automated submissions.
