Formula Student is a competition to design and build a single-seat racing car. It gives students the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm on a real racing car project. The students combine the knowledge acquired during their studies, work in a large team and learn about the economic side of engineering design.
The racing team of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb was founded in 2003 and has so far built 11 cars, with which it has competed in numerous competitions across Europe.
During a visit to RCK Industry 4.0 on 29 May 2025, team members Robert Lasić and Filip Sviben presented the project to students of Vocational School Velika Gorica and asked for help in producing parts for the race car.
In line with the Centre's mission to promote work-based learning, innovation and the needs of the labour market, we were happy to accept the request.
