As part of the Erasmus+ project CL-BVET, on 15 and 16 January 2026 we took part in the third peer-learning activity (PLA3) at the Technical School Gradiška. As project partners, we devoted these days to a key step in modernising vocational education – developing the Open Badge curriculum.
The main focus of our work was on introducing digital badges (Open Badges) as an innovative way to recognise and validate the specific competences that students acquire through collaborative learning.
Key highlights of the meeting:
Structuring the badges: We defined clear criteria and skill levels that participants will certify with digital badges, making their competences more transparent on the labour market.
Next-generation curriculum: We worked on aligning learning outcomes with the Open Badge system, so that every successfully completed module of hybrid teaching is digitally recognised.
Field visit: We took the opportunity to visit the modern classrooms of the Technical School Gradiška, which gave us a better insight into the environment in which the new curriculum will be applied.
The importance of the event was also reflected in the interest of the local media, who covered our work and produced a TV report on the activities at the school. On that occasion, the project participants further highlighted, in statements to the media, the benefits of introducing the Open Badge system for the future of vocational education in the region.
