VET5.0 – Transforming vocational education by strengthening learner-centredness, Education 5.0 and lifelong learning for Industry 4.0/5.0 in rural regions is a four-year Erasmus+ project running from May 2026 to April 2030.
The aim of the project is to make vocational education and training more learner-centred, more flexible and better suited to the needs of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0. VET5.0 develops innovative approaches to learning based on adaptive learning and micro-credentials and on technologies such as artificial intelligence, immersive learning and gamification. The project also supports teachers in applying Education 5.0 methods and strengthens cooperation between vocational education providers, industry, small and medium-sized enterprises, public authorities and policy makers.
The VET5.0 project will establish an Academy of Excellence connecting six regional centres of vocational excellence in Austria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia, with the aim of developing digital and green skills in manufacturing and promoting lifelong learning.
Vocational School Velika Gorica, as the Regional Centre of Competence (RCK) Velika Gorica, is one of the partners in the VET5.0 project and is listed in the consortium under the abbreviation VHS VG. In the project, the school works with the other Croatian partners: the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb, the company 3D Grupa and the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education. It is involved in working with students and teachers, developing new learning services and training programmes, applying innovative teaching methods, cooperating with industry and other stakeholders, and disseminating the project results. Through the project, the school's teachers will gain new knowledge of Education 5.0 methods and modern technologies, and students and learners will gain access to new and more flexible forms of learning.
